(KCEN) -- A new phone scam is going around central Texas about a Scott & White employee credit union.
Several people have received phone calls saying that their accounts are frozen, which causes their debit cards to be frozen. The scammers also tell people they need to resubmit their personal information over the phone.
The messages are fake.The message asks you to call a phone number and a you are asked to relay your account number and the expiration date of your debit cards.
The credit union says any customers who have given out personal information in this scam should call them immediately.
