Two little girls will soon face another life-changing transition they will be able to hear for the first time. Eight-year-olds Ruby and Kate Shasteen conquered their first step toward hearing two weeks ago, rolling into surgery for a cochlear implant.
Delivering sound directly to their hearing nerve.
And now that they can hear they also hope to one day speak.
