(KCEN) -- Although it was close to 80 degrees outside Killeen celebrated the holidays with their 50th annual parade.
This years parade took a different route due to downtown construction. But it didn't hurt the crowd.
The event started at 1:00 P.M. with a holiday movie, pictures with Santa and a special appearance from veggie pals. A group designed to promote healthy eating.
This was also the first year it was an all day event. And from here on will be called holiday hoopla!
Leslie Hinkle says, "This is a family oriented community. And you can look around and see all the families, young and old. It's all about Killeen."
And to wrap up the parade was a special performance by Malaci Cohen.
