Oxygen Deprivation Before Birth Could Increase Children's Risk for ADD

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Babies who experienced oxygen deprivation before birth may be at risk for ADD problems.

Researchers at Kaiser Permanente reviewed the health records of nearly 82,000 children.

They found those who had respiratory distress or oxygen deprivation in-utero had an increased risk for developing ADD.

There was also a link found among those whose mothers had extremely high blood pressure while pregnant.
