(KCEN) -- A Texas judge has temporarily halted construction on the Keystone Pipeline in east Texas.

That's after a man in east Texas filed a lawsuit.

He claims Transcanada lied to him and other landowners, promising the pipeline would transport crude oil and not tar sands oil.

On Friday a judge signed a temporary restraining order and injunction against Transcanada.

If it's completed, the pipeline will stretch from Canada to the Gulf Coast.
