(KCEN) -- Gov. Rick Perry is pushing for even stricter abortion laws in this year's Texas legislative session.
Yesterday he spoke out in support of a restriction that would outlaw abortions after 20 weeks into a pregnancy.
A previous Supreme Court ruling in the Roe v Wade case currently sets that cutoff at 28 weeks.
Experts say less than two percent of abortions occur after 20 weeks and most of them are tied to medical conditions.
