(KCEN) -- In Aggieland, there's no date better to honor the 12th man spirit than on 12-12-12.
And to top it all off, Johnny Football returned with the school's second ever Heisman trophy yesterday.
Students and Aggies of all ages packed the plaza in front of the Memorial Student Center waiting for Manzeil and other award-winning players to take the podium.
Some waited at the gates hours before the event to get a good spot.
Aggie fan Cavender Neutze said, "I got here around 2:30 and I parked in the parking garage and I'm afraid if I go park in the free parking somebody will take it so I'm not leaving."
Courtney Schmidt, another fan, said, "It's still sinking in that we as A&M won the Heisman and the thrill the students had across the past couple days has just been unbelievable."
After the speeches wrapped up from the players and President Loftin the crowds shifted inside.
This time, people waiting for their chance to take a picture with the Heisman trophy.
