(KCEN) -- More than one in four Americans will hit the road during the final weeks of December.

That's what AAA revealed this morning in its year-end holidays travel forecast.

Ninety-three-point-three million Americans are expected to hit the road, traveling 50 miles or more during the holidays.

That's more than a one-and-half percent increase over last year.

Falling gas prices could be behind the increase in travelers.
