(KCEN) -- There are new problems with North Korea's satellite launched into space.
U.S. officials say the satellite appears to be tumbling out of control as it orbits the Earth.
Yesterday the UN condemned Tuesday's rocket launch by North Korea, saying the technology could be used to carry nuclear warheads.
Even China, the north's closest diplomatic and economic ally expressed deep concern.
And the U.S. made its stance clear prior to liftoff.
U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice said, "The international community and our colleagues in the council have condemned this launch clearly and swiftly."
This is North Korea's first successful rocket launch.
Two previous attempts failed.
