(KCEN) -- One north Texas police officer is giving back and spreading some holiday cheer.
Hayden Carlo is struggling to support his wife and children and it didn't help when he got pulled over for an expired registration sticker because he didn't have enough money to pay for it.
But when he opened his citation, he got an unexpected surprise.
A 100 dollar bill.
The officer didn't want to be identified but said he felt the man needed the money more than him.
And Carlo is forever thankful.
He said, "He helped me out when I needed it and I appreciate that. I'll never forget that man. It definitely restored my faith in God."
Carlo was able to update not only the registration on his car with the money but also his wife's.
