'The Hobbit' Movie Opening in Theaters

(KCEN) -- Movie-goers are returning to Middle Earth for the first time in almost nine years, as "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" opens in theaters this weekend.

This is first in a new trilogy of films from Peter Jackson.

It follows a young Bilbo Baggins in his adventures with Gandalf and a group of dwarves.

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is rated PG-13.

KCEN's Shawn Hobbs has a review of the movie coming up tonight at 6 p.m.
