(KCEN) --  Two accidents on I-35 had traffic backed up for miles today.

The first accident happened around 4:00 this morning.

A semi truck lost control and flipped spilling it's cargo all over the highway.

I-35 South near mile marker 300 was shut down for almost five hours.

The second accident happened around five this afternoon on I-35 North near Exit 292.

Police say two SUV's rolled over after one merged into the other.

Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries.

Their condition is unknown at this hour.
