(KCEN) -- Tens of thousands of volunteers laid wreaths at veterans' graves at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia today.
Some 110,000 wreaths were placed throughout the cemetery as part of the 21st Annual Wreaths Across America.
The event honors fallen men and women from the US military during the holiday season.
Similar events were held at military cemeteries across the country.
A Maine couple started the tradition in 1992 and their company has been supplying wreaths for it ever since.
