(KCEN) -- A fire completely destroyed a trailer home in Gholson this afternoon, according to the homeowner.
There is no official word on the fire yet, but the homeowner said the fire broke out between 1 and 1:30 and may have been caused by embers from a wood burning heater.
An elderly woman lives in the home with her daughter and grandson. All made it out safely, along with a dog.
The homeowner also said several acres of farmland went up in flames along with the house.
Apparently the family lost the house, a car and all their Christmas presents in the fire. They escaped the home with only the clothes on their backs.
A horse suffered minor burns from the flames, according to the homeowner.
Anyone wanting to donate clothes or supplies to the family can drop items off at the Gholson Fire Department.
