(KCEN) -- A pipe that was broken during the construction on I-35 has caused the city of Lorena to issue a boil water notice for customers who are on the city's water system.

The order affects everyone on the system who lives in the Quarry Subdivision, Evelyn, Sutton Place, Old Rosenthal Road, South Old Temple Road, Creek Road, Telephone Road, Gruetzner Road, Woodlawn Road, Skyline Circle, South Old Bruceville Road and Clay Hill Road.

If you live in this area, you should boil your water prior to consumption until further notice.

When the water is safe again, residents will be notified.
