(KCEN) -- A gruesome discovery was made yesterday in Brazos County.
While feeding cattle, a rancher found a decomposing body on his property.
It was discovered northeast of Bryan, near Tabor Road.
The body had no identification and has since been sent to Austin for an autopsy.
Deputies are investigating this death as a crime.
Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk said, "I can tell you at this point and time there's no public threat as a result of this, we've been able to see or determine. We're just going to continue to try and identify the subject and then work backwards to find out what happened to him."
Investigators believe the body may have been in the field for about two weeks.
