Customers Get in Some Last Minute Holiday Shopping

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- While you probably can't get an online order in time for Christmas you can take on the crowds if you're brave enough.

If you're hitting up the toy aisle today chances are you're:

"Doing a little last minute Christmas shopping and trying to finish up," says Cody and Crystal Beierman.

But you're not alone. A poll released by consumer reports reveals that 132 million haven't finished their holiday shopping, 26 million haven't started yet, and 17 million will be shopping on Christmas Eve.

Many parents say the electronics aisle is where they'll be shopping.  Tablets, video games and everything in between are popular and pricey.

The Beiermans say, "With kids getting older they get more expensive too, their want list grows."

"It seems to be a lot more expensive this year than it did last year to be honest with ya."

And while some aren't in favor of last minute shopping.

Olga Wise had this to say, "I just hate mobs, crowds you know trying to sort through everything and everything's picked over by the time you get there."

They Beierman's say you might wanna hurry up because:

"It's going by quickly."

And here's some good news for you procrastinators out there.

Target is open until 9 on Christmas Eve, Toys-r-Us stores in Waco and Killeen are open until 10 on the 24th and many Walmart stores are open 24/7 through Christmas Eve.
