Baylor Bears Land Second Consecutive Bowl Win

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Another bowl win in the books for Baylor University as the Bears stomped all over UCLA in last night's Holiday Bowl.

Lots of Central Texans are excited about the outcome of last night's game.

After forcing UCLA into a three-and-out on its first drive of the game, Baylor was very strong on offense early in the first quarter.

Glasco Martin takes it in with ease from four yards out and it's 7-0 Baylor.

Less than a minute into the second quarter Nick Florence throws for 55 yards down the sideline to Tevin Reese for the 21-0 lead.

Florence would later set a new Baylor passing record in the second quarter, breaking Robert Griffin III's single season record.

The Baylor defense had five sacks in the first half, and allowed only 148 total yards by UCLA in the first half for a 49 to 26 win.

Baylor finishes the season eight-and-five UCLA finishes at nine-and-five.
