(KCEN) -- The Fedex ground package system is suing the Texas Workforce Commission for ordering the company to pay unemployment taxes for its drivers.

The company classifies their as "independent contractors."

The ruling in the case could cost up to one million dollars.

The lawsuit is attracting a lot of attention from other companies that use independent contractors.
