(KCEN) -- Federal assistance for victims of Hurricane Sandy remains unknown.

That's because the U.S. House of Representatives ended its term without voting on a bill.

Representatives from New York and New Jersey were upset the aid bill wasn't brought to the floor.

House Speaker John Boehner said a vote on the 60 billion dollar relief package will take place on January 15.
