(KCEN) -- A soldier is joining a massive lawsuit over the Fort Hood massacre.
His Temple attorney is working with New York lawyers and about 100 civilians in a case against the government.
They want the attack labeled as terrorism and for soldiers and families to receive combat pay benefits if it is labeled terrorism.
Right now John Roark's active duty client receives only disability pay, even less than he got before he was wounded.
Roark said, "Those benefits are set in a much smaller amount than if he's injured or killed in a combat zone."
The suit also asks for damages and reimbursement of attorney fees.
