(KCEN) -- A shocking incident at a Florida Walmart is now being investigated as a hate crime and it was all captured on camera.
The video shows a couple getting out of their car when they are approached by a man who starts harassing them.
The man allegedly asked the male victim if he was a Muslim before shouting obscenities at the couple and then opening fire with a pellet gun.
He fired a total of 20 shots before running away.
Luckily, the male victim was not seriously injured, but he did tell authorities he thought he was going to die.
Detective Lisa Schoneman with the Major Crimes Unit, said, "Oh that scares me to death. I mean it was a pellet gun. He has a couple pellets he has to have removed from his head and from his neck. Had that been a .22, a .38, any type caliber real gun, he'd be dead."
The male victim was treated at the scene but will need surgery to remove one pellet in his neck and another in his head.
The suspect is still on the loose.
