Two Homeless Men Save Ohio Businessman's Life

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- It's a story of two good Samaritans.

An Ohio businessman was brutally attacked in broad daylight, but is now recovering well, all thanks to two men, who happen to be homeless.

David does not want his identity revealed, but saw the pummeling just south of Central Parkway in Ohio.

He got between the attacker and the businessman, who was knocked to the ground.

A second homeless man also came over to help.

The attacker ran off, but is now in police custody and is identified as Louis Stevenson, who is six-foot-four and 250 pounds.

He was not armed at the time, but the good Samaritans had no way of knowing that.

Josh Spring of the Homeless Coalition said, "Hopefully this story shows us that the stereotypes are wrong, that people are people and folks jump in when needed, homeless or not homeless."

David said, "I would just hope that if it happened to me, that someone would do the same thing for me."

At 46-years-old, he says he wants to find employment and start the new year off fresh.
