
College Station – For the second time this
year Texas A&M junior Kelsey Bone has been selected as SEC Player of
the Week. In the past week Bone averaged 18.3 points and 14 rebounds
per game recording a double-double in each of the
Aggies three games.
Bone led the maroon and white to a 3-0 week
including a 2-0 start to SEC play, with a tough road win at Arkansas. On
the week Bone was 21-of-37 (56.8%) from the floor and an impressive
13-for-15 (86.7%) from the free-throw line. Bone currently
ranks first in the SEC in field-goal percentage (61.1%), first in
rebounds per game (10.0) and second in points per game (17.8).
Bone and the Aggies will travel to Lexington for a matchup with No. 6 Kentucky on Thursday at 5 p.m. The game will be the fifth matchup against a top-10 opponent for the Aggies this season.
