Fort Hood to Demolish Military Radio Tower

UDPATE (KCEN) -- The radio tower demolishment has been delayed until January 16 due to bad weather in the area this week.

(KCEN) -- A 100-foot tall military radio tower owned by Fort Hood will soon be demolished with explosives.

It will happen on Wednesday in Topsey, west of Fort Hood.

The tower was built in the 1940s but is now obsolete.

Engineers will only use about five pounds of explosives to bring it down.
