(KCEN) -- Coryell County officials have decided to temporarily lift the burn ban that was put into place on November 14, 2012.
Since heavy rains are expected in the area, the burn ban is lifted, effective immediately, until the end of the day on January 14.
On January 14, the Coryell County Commissioners' Court will reassess the drought conditions and decide whether or not to reinstate the burn ban.
