Five Americans, Two Peruvians Killed in Helicopter Crash

(KCEN) -- A helicopter carrying five Americans crashed in Peru's jungle on Monday, killing everyone on board.

The helicopter was operated by a local unit of the U.S.-based Columbia Helicopters which is known for its heavy aircraft often used in logging and oil exploration.

Two Peruvians were also killed in the crash.

The passengers worked for a Canadian-based oil exploration firm that focuses on Latin America.
