The road may have been a bit slick when the rain began on Tuesday, but by Wednesday morning deep pockets of water covered roads and highways all across Central Texas.
Wednesday the City of Belton confirmed that Nolan Creek was up five feet above normal levels.
In the Waco area, the rain contributed to several morning accidents. Two cars skidded into ditches on Lake Shore Dr. and a pickup truck flipped on a westbound on-ramp on Hwy 6 near Bosque.
No one was hurt in any of the accidents.
Weather forecaster Miri Marshall predicts 2-4 more inches of rain are still coming.
