(KCEN) -- Yesterday we learned just how much the tragic wave of suicides in the military affected Fort Hood in 2012.

Fourteen deaths were ruled suicides at Fort Hood and five others are still being looked into.

That's a total of 19, up from 10 in 2011.

There were seven confirmed cases nearly a decade ago in 2003.
