Fugitive Captured in Waco After Chase Remains in Jail

(KCEN) -- There is now an update about a car chase in Waco yesterday that resulted in the arrest of one of the city's most wanted fugitives.

Thirty-six-year-old Tommie Saulters and Carrie Woodlock remain in the McLennan County jail today.

Saulters was facing theft and a state parole violation after being charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A little before 4 p.m. yesterday, a U.S. Marshall tried to pull Saulters over to serve an arrest warrant.

Saulters then took off, leading officers on a chase.

He then called 9-1-1 threatening to kill the other two passengers in the car.

The chase ended after spike strips were placed in the car's path at Park Lake and 22nd Street.

Saulters is facing multiple charges from aggravated assault of an officers to resisting arrest.

Woodlock, one of the passengers in the car, is facing charges of hindering arrest.

The other passenger in the car was let go.
