(KCEN) The flu is spreading across the nation and the number of sick people has reached an epidemic level.
Here in Central Texas, there's no shortage of cases either.
Since mid-December, Bell and McLennan Counties have seen several hundred cases per week.
McLennan County reported 344 new cases just last week.
Health officials said, the best way to prevent illness is by getting vaccinated.
The good news, both Bell and McLennan County still have plenty of flu shots in stock.
