Animal Clinic in Waco Offers Low Cost Birth Control

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Having a famly pet is a big responsibility.

And keeping that pet healthy could be costly, especially a spay and neuter surgery.

One clinic in Waco is helping pet owners and controlling the animal population.

The owner of a friendly Heiler named Blue told us that he jumped into the car when they saw him on the side of the road.

Blue picked the right family.

But since he was a stray they want to make sure there's nothing wrong without paying too much.

That's where the Animal Birth Control Clinic comes in.

Carrie Kuel who works at the clinic says, "He was able to get flea prevention when he leaves here. Heart worm prevention. He was able to get a heart worm test for just fifteen dollars."

Every second Sunday from 10:00-2:00 at the Animal Birth Control Clinic cats can get their vacinations for only 30 bucks.

On average, the clinic performs 40 spay and neuter surgeries a week.

The price ranges anywhere from $25 to $65, saving you at least a hundred dollars.

Now that Blue has been neutered the walkers have one less thing to worry about.

And can welcome him into their family which includes 4 other dogs.

The A.B.C. Clinic is taking their vets on the road.

This Friday they'll be preforming 40 surgeries at the Mexia Civic Center.
