(KCEN) -- Survivors and victim's relatives marked the first anniversary of the Costa Concordia wreck today.
People gathered this weekend to honor the 32 lives lost.
One man went to the ceremony to feel closer to his brother who was a waiter on board and helped rescue passengers but was never found.
When asked what he would say to his brother while there Kevin Rebello said, "Show up, that's what I send him a message, when are you going to show up. That's it. Hopefully he hears me."
The captain is accused of manslaughter and abandoning ship.
He's going through pre-trial hearings right now while the cruise liner faces lawsuits from over 700 passengers.
