(KCEN) -- Several accidents were reported in the Waco area this morning as cold temperatures caused ice on bridges and overpasses.
Police urged drivers to be cautious, especially on roadways that are prone to developing ice. Sanding of bridges was requested in hopes of making roadways safer.
Accidents were reported in the areas of I-35 from University Parks to Waco Drive, Bosque and University Parks and Loop 340 and Imperial.
An accident at Bosque and North 3rd Street knocked out power and caused the closure of the Health Department, the Park and Recreations offices and the City of Waco Municipal Court.
We will post any more updates of accidents, power outages and closures.
