(KCEN) -- The widow of a victim killed in last year's Colorado movie theater shooting is suing the accused gunman's psychiatrist and the university where she works.
The civil lawsuit alleges that the psychiatrist should have advised police to arrest suspect James Holmes weeks before the theater rampage.
The woman who filed the lawsuit lost her 26-year-old husband in the July 20 shooting.
Eleven others were also killed.
Officials from the University of Colorado-Denver where she works say they are aware of the lawsuit and have received notice that 11 other lawsuits could be filed.
An attorney for the psychiatrist could not be reached for comment.
