American Airlines Unveils New Logo - kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen

(KCEN) -- American Airlines is getting a new look and they debuted their new style in Dallas today.

The company is changing its logo.

It features a more vibrant red, white and blue with the American flag a more prominent part of the airplane's tail.

The eagle has also been updated.

This is the first redesign since 1968.

In the coming weeks, American is expected to make an announcement on its future.

That includes whether it will merge with US Airways or come out of bankruptcy as a standalone carrier.
