Barbara Walters Hospitalized After Fall

(KCEN) -- Barbara Walters took a fall last night on a step at the British ambassador's residence in Washington and has been hospitalized.

ABC says the 83-year-old cut her forehead during the fall and remains hospitalized for observation.

According to a statement from ABC News VP Jeffrey Schneider, "Barbara is alert and telling everyone what to do, which we all take as a very positive sign."
