(KCEN) -- A north Texas sheriff says he won't enforce new gun laws backed by President Obama.
The reason behind it is because he says the proposal is, "unconstitutional."
Collin County Sheriff Terry Box said, "As long as I remain Sheriff of Collin County, I will not participate in the actions of misguided politicians who seek to impede our citizen's right to all of the privileges afforded by our constitution."
Box says the new laws would violate the second amendment right to bear arms.
The posting on Box's Facebook page was met with more than 200 comments, most of which supportive of the sheriff.
