(KCEN) -- Killeen police are investigating a shooting that happened at a home on January 16 that left one man dead.
Police received a call about at 1:18 p.m. on January 16 saying a man had been shot.
Officers found 20-year-old Jack Tullos Tennyson with a gunshot wound to the head. He was airlifted to Scott & White in critical condition.
It appears three men were in the living room of the house where one of the men was handling a revolver in an unsafe manner. The weapon discharged and shot the victim.
A 21-year-old male was taken into custody during the investigation.
Twenty-three-year-old Douglas Maximus Heffernan was charged with aggravated assault and his bond was set at $500,000. He is currently in the Bell County Jail.
The victim was pronounced dead at 4:39 p.m. on January 19.
Officials are still investigating this case.
