Gun Shows To Continue In Bell County

Posted: Updated:

With the nation in shock of yet another shooting, people are flocking to gun shows to get their hands on a weapon.

Some counties are trying to put a stop to gun shows all together.

As of right now Central Texans can still plan to attend gun shows.

Unlike some areas Bell County will still allow gun shows to be held at the Bell County Expo.

Gun shows have seen a dramatic increase of people over the past couple months.

The number of gun sales has skyrocketed nation wide causing some cities to want to ban gun shows.

They worry that more guns on the streets could be the cause of more shootings.

In the state of Texas the laws are pretty clear and open.

If you're not a felon with a clean record, you'll probably be able to buy a gun with no problem.

Over the next few months in Bell County there will be several gun shows that are expected to continue.

"I don't think that congress will do anything anytime soon, so I doubt if the gun shows are going to change dramatically in size, or in number of customers, and things like that over the next few months," said owner of the Real Gun Show Art Behrends.
