(KCEN)- One in three people living in Bell County will use United Way services sometime during their life.

That's why, United Way Of Central Texas held their annual Small Business Blitz Phone-A-Thon Wednesday afternoon.

The event usually raises around $25,000 from small local businesses that will go toward the organization's overall goal of $1.75 million.

Their funding will go to 27 different social services in the Bell County area like Boy Scouts and Senior Centers.

Every dollar raised will stay in Bell County.
