(KCEN) -- A former Baylor baseball player and high school teacher is now facing charges for indecency with a child.
Thirty-four-year-old Chad Hawkins was an assistant boys basketball and baseball coach and history teacher at Arlington Heights High School.
He created a fake Facebook account under the name Thomas Durdan and used it to message a 16-year-old student in his history class.
Hawkins and the girl exchanged over 90 pages of Facebook messages, some of them sexually explicit.
On January 16, police found Hawkins and the 16-year-old girl inside a car near a LA Fitness in Fort Worth.
Hawkins resigned from his job on Friday and posted bond from Tarrant County Jail at $15,000.
He played for the Bears in the 1999 and 2000 seasons.
