Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Woman in Waco - kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen

(KCEN) -- One man was taken into custody by Waco police last night after being accused of sexual assault.

At 7:40 p.m. a female victim called police to report that she had been sexually assaulted by a man she met at the C&E Motel, located at 1009 North Loop.

She said she met an acquaintance, Austin Bernard Phenix, there for an unspecified reason.

After she met Phenix there, he sexually assaulted her in the area of Clifton and East Waco.

Police responded to the call and found Phenix, who then ran from officers.

Phenix led officers of a short foot chase and was then taken into custody. He was taken to the McLennan County Jail and charged with sexual assault and evading arrest.  

The female victim was taken to Hillcrest for treatment.
