(KCEN) -- It's a story of redemption and a change of heart.
Two men in Tennessee found $11,000 laying on the side of the road and made a decision they would not have made years ago.
Life for Larry More and Brian Beals years ago consisted of living out of their cars, homelessness and drugs.
But since then, they both recently found a new path in life and in faith through Angelic Ministries Job Corp.
The two stumbled upon a bag full of cash while out on a ministry job.
Turns out the money belonged to a man with six kids, who was putting a down payment on a house.
They decided to return all of the money to the rightful owner.
More said, "We just did it in the name of the Lord, cause, for a change, he had something to smile down about us on, you know? Instead of frowning at us, this is one time he looked at us and maybe smiled, you know, because we did a good thing."
That man who lost the money mistakenly left it on his truck at a gas station.
He says he's grateful for the money's return and as a token of thanks he gave Angelic Ministries $300 for their good deed.
