Study Says Salary Most Important Factor in Employee Satisfaction

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- What motivates an employee to stay with a company?

A new Careerbuilder survey of more than 3,900 full-time workers nationwide has found salary is what matters most.

A whopping 70 percent said increasing salaries is the best way to boost employee retention.

And 58 percent said better benefits would entice them to stay.

While most workers (66 percent) said they were generally satisfied with their job, one in four said they'll be changing jobs this year or next year.
