(KCEN) -- North Korea now says the de-nuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is impossible and that it's prepared to take what it calls high profile measures.
The country wants to be seen as a nuclear power launching its first satellite into orbit last December on a rocket which may bring them closer to developing an inter-continental ballistic missile.
The UN Security Council condemned it tightening sanctions.
However North Korea's leader announced plans to conduct a third nuclear test.
It warned that it would keep developing rockets and testing nuclear devices to counter what it sees as U.S. hostility.
