(KCEN) -- For Twitter users, posting a photo has been the primary way to share an image.
But now, Twitter wants users to bring those images to life, unveiling an app that lets users embed their original videos inside a tweet.
Twitter acquired the video-sharing service, Vine, last fall.
The premise is short and sweet, just like a tweet. Videos are limited to only six seconds or less.
Right now, Vine is available only for iPhone and iPod touch.
But Twitter says other platforms are in the works.
It joins a crop of other apps for sharing video like Viddy, Cinemagram and Socialcam.
