
COLLEGE STATION—Texas A&M freshman
Peyton Little has been selected by the Southeastern Conference as SEC
Freshman of the Week following A&M's wins over Mississippi State and
Missouri last week.
Little was 5-for-8 from the three-point line on Sunday
to help A&M tie a 17 year old school-record of 12 made
three-pointers in a game, 12 made three ties for the most three-pointers
made by an SEC team in a conference game this season.
Little scored 17 points in the game, the most she has scored in a
conference game this season.
On the week Little shot 58.3 percent (7-for-12)
from the floor and 54.5 percent (6-for-11) beyond the arc and recorded
her first career block.
The Aggies return to the court Thursday night when the Aggies host Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to take pictures with the 2012 Heisman Trophy, won by Johnny Manziel. The game will be televised by FOX Sports South/Southwest.
