(KCEN) -- Temple police are searching for a suspect who tried to rob Smash Burger, located at 3008 S. 31st Street on Sunday.
At 8:32 a.m. officers responded to the restaurant in reference to an aggravated robbery report.
The victim said as he was taking out the trash the suspect grabbed him from behind. He demanded the victim take him inside Smash Burger to get money.
The victim then struck the front of the suspect's head with the back of his head and the suspect let go of him and fled on foot.
Officers searched for the suspect but weren't able to locate him.
The suspect is described as a white male, about five-feet-feet-seven to five-feet-nine, wearing dark jeans and a black mask.
The victim received a minor laceration to the chest during the attempted robbery.
