(KCEN) -- There is good news for Hurricane Sandy victims.
The Senate has joined the House in approving emergency relief.
The Senate cleared the bill 62 to 36 last night about two weeks after the House passed it.
The 50 billion dollar measure will now be sent to President Obama for his signature.
It's aimed primarily at helping residents and businesses rebuild after the storm.
Sandy has caused more than 130 deaths and billions of dollars in property damage, mostly in the northeast.
